Educational Qualification for UGC NET Library Science: 

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Library Science or Information Science with at least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).

Age Limit: 

The upper age limit for JRF is 30 years, while there is no age limit for Assistant Professor.
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian nationals.

Exam Pattern for UGC NET Library Science

The UGC NET Library Science examination consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-I is a general paper that tests the teaching and research aptitude of the candidates, while Paper-II is specific to Library Science. The exam pattern for both papers is as follows:

Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Syllabus: Library and Information Science, including its history, theories, and practices; Information Sources, Services, and Systems; Library Management, Marketing, and Public Relations; Information Technology and Digital Libraries; Research Methodology and Bibliometrics.
